Have you ever heard of Tea Oil?

I’d like to thank Mommy’s Organics for having me as their first guest blogger.  My name is Stephanie, and my company Royalmajestea sells organic tea and oils.  I met E. Palencsar when she contacted me about my article on pregnancy and tea, and we’ve been talking tea ever since.

Congratulations Mommy to be! You are taking every measure to make sure you have a healthy, happy, bundle of joy. You’re eating properly and educating yourself on all things good for baby. What about you? Taking time to pamper yourself is just as important for you as it is for baby.

With all the changes your body is going through inside, you should do something for the outside. Most importantly, your skin. Why not treat yourself to a Mommy massage? Just be aware of the oils that are used. Since my expertise is in tea I suggest trying unscented camellia seed oil (Tea Oil), which is not to be confused with Tea Tree Oil. Tea oil is said to be the beauty secret of the Geisha’s and has been recognized for its highly restorative and rejuvenating effect on skin. It is an excellent skin moisturizer as well as a non-drying and non-clogging oil that is very rich in mono-saturated essential fatty acids. Tea oil is a full of vitamins and minerals beneficial to skin health.  A bonus of tea oil is it helps minimize stretch marks so you are able to use it daily to keep your belly soft and beautiful.

Now let’s not forget about smell. It’s relaxing and often a part of creating a soothing massage environment. We all love nice aromas; however, the use of essential oils in aromatherapy should be considered very carefully. Be cautious using oils that contain fragrance or essential oils. The reason is that some oils have compounds that behave like hormones because of their molecular structure. There is no conclusive evidence on the effects, but it would be wise to avoid during your pregnancy.
