Fun in the Flower Fields

Yesterday we went the Carlsbad Flower Fields to visit the beautiful gardens featuring Ranunculus. I’m obviously not a photographer, so the photos don’t do the flower fields justice. Little Pumpkin Doodle was so happy, not only did she get to see the flowers, but we took a wagon tractor tour (tractors are LPD’s favorite all terrain vehicle) provided by the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum. For those of you that live in San Diego or plan on visiting, the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum is a lot of fun for the little ones!

The Flower Field and garden is 50 acres of beauty. There’s an entire field designed to look like the american flag.

After the tractor ride, we toured the flower garden and the gazebo.

The setting is ideal for a wedding, and we later discovered that weddings are held in the middle of the flower field. You can even have your reception, birthday party or company event in a tent within the garden.

LPD posed for a picture while conducting her make-believe orchestra. She actually told me to stop taking her picture and to pick up my cello and play! (I don’t play the cello).

Only in California would you find a gnome on a surfboard made out of sand in a flower field!

Hubby took a picture of us, and as we were leaving LPD asked if we could plant some flowers. I told her we could try flowers since we were doing so well with our little herb garden.

Hope you enjoyed the pics!
